Year after year, Nicor employees donate both time and money to their communities, and Nicor is proud to strengthen this tradition of giving by making additional investments in organizations in the form of grants and donations across northern Illinois. In 2005, Nicor contributed more than $1.7 million to support programs and organizations that make a difference to people in need.

| Assisted by community members, nearly 1,000 Nicor employees, family and friends completed 18 projects in 17 communities this year. Projects ranged from sorting food at local pantries to cleaning yards and providing energy efficiency kits to senior citizens' homes. |
